A local student, whose family migrated into the area thought their son would never be able to be more than a 'worker'. His hearing loss kept him from learning English and his native language. His teacher contacted Sertoma for assistance. Working with local doctors and helping with funding, the student can now hear and has blossomed at school. Is learning English, joining in with other kids and being active in school.

Thank you for your generosity.. it's such a new world.....i am hearing people speak . 😁 Sometimes I still ask what they are saying before I realize that I heard them. Lol.... it's amazing!!!! Now i have a choice....i can put in my hearing aids and understand and communicate the things i need where i could not before ....i can learn to understand what others need from me.
